FRATTA ART-HOUSE
Fratta Art-House is both an art centre and a holiday house. It’s the perfect place for your holidays where you can have a first-hand approach with ceramics. At Fratta Art-House, in fact, you can enrol on courses and participate in meetings on ceramics, as well as in other disciplines organised throughout the year. Fratta Art-House is immersed in the Umbrian countryside, in the proximity of the smalltown of Marsciano, an area of genuine natural beauty situated at the strategic centre of Umbria. Within a short distance, in fact, you can reach the region’s main cities of arts, notably Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Todi and Orvieto. Equally close, there are some minor but not less beautiful towns like Deruta, Bevagna and Montefalco, not to mention the beautiful water environment of Lake Trasimeno.
Fratta Art-House is Luca and Elisabetta’s realisation of their project to live and work in a tranquil, green, natural dimension. After substantial works of renovation, today the House, which initially was a farmhouse, is formed of a main body (with guest rooms and small apartments), various communal areas, the studio and a huge garden.

ACCOMODATION
The ground floor of the House is totally occupied by the family’s quarter and the reception where they check the guests in. Many of Luca’s works are on display in this area of the House. Accommodation are on the first and on the second floor, in a separate wing of the building, and are reachable through independent access. Guests can also be accommodated in a wide flat located on the ground floor, immersed in the house garden. Each one of these holiday units are decorated with some of Luca Leandri’s artefacts, such as hand basins, lamps, tables, mirrors or mere decorations. A wide terrace and a large living room are available to the house guests, as well as a great number of relax areas arranged in the garden. The huge atelier where courses are held is located in a separate building placed next to the main body of the House, quite in a central position respect to the garden and opposite to the swimming pool!

GROUPS & FAMILIES
Spending a holiday at Fratta Art-House means to test oneself through the creation of clay artefacts.
We have been arranging tailored courses for school groups (national or from abroad), parties and families for many year now. In the case of families, we enjoy sharing our experience by involving each of the members in a creative project aimed at producing items that are thought for everyday use once returned to their homes. Children, too, have their part in this project, according to their age and the themes that most attract them.
Italian or foreign college and school groups are very welcome to courses designed to form students within the schools’ institutional syllabi.

WELLNESS FOR THE BODY AND THE SOUL
Where art is, there is wellness for body and soul. In the morning it is possible to practice warming up exercises based on Martial Arts principles, particularly on an old Chinese technique called Qigong (focused on the body and Qi), which belongs to inner Martial Arts and is closely associated to the principles of traditional Chinese Medicine. These activities, thought for our guests’ physical and mental health, include Qigong and Taiji-Quan exercises, which are led outdoors by Elisabetta, who has been studying and practicing them for twelve years.
At Fratta Art-House is also possible to book (with some notice) Shiatsu sessions, as well as other types of massages with external certified professionals. (see more – page)
The morning exercises last between 40 to 60 minutes and have to be scheduled with the House guests.
In addition to the morning meetings, it is possible to arrange weekly residential periodic meetings. Meeting fee is 15 euros per person (minimum two people). Monthly participation fee for 4 meetings is 40 euros per person
